Heart of city reels under 13-hour power cut

LUCKNOW: On Thursday, due to a feeder and transformer failure, more than 25,000 people in the areas of Lalbagh, Darulshafa, Caper Road and Hazratganj faced a power crisis for a continuous 13 hours.

Officials of Lesa Husainganj sub-station said that engineers were not able to identify the glitch in the feeder and transformer located in Lalbagh and the direct line of Martin Purwa, considered the main line of power supply for the four areas. Upgraded recently, the feeder and transformer were dysfunctional due to unknown reasons.
