Furthermore, heavy rain is also likely over Arunachal Pradesh.

Fairly widespread thunderstorms have been forecast over southern Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Konkan Coast and Malabar Coast.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected over Trans Himalayas, W. Himalayan, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Thursday and Beyond

50 mm/24 hr or more of accumulated precipitation is partially expected over Northeast India until Friday morning due to the warm and moist air brought by southerly winds from the Bay of Bengal.

High pressure is expected to develop from Friday to Sunday over western Rajasthan. Hence, dry and sunny weather is expected in North, Central (except southern Chhattisgarh) and East (except Odisha) India, and Gujarat in West India.

Northeasterly winds (corresponding to the southeastern edge of the above-mentioned high pressure) will prevail over coastal Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. Hence, a sign of southwest monsoon withdrawal will appear temporarily on Sunday, October 13.

Heavy rain is likely over Arunachal Pradesh (especially heavy rain with thunderstorms can partially continue until Friday morning).

Fairly widespread thunderstorms are expected over much of Northeast India, coastal West Bengal, Odisha, southern Chhattisgarh, Telangana, northern Andhra Pradesh, Konkan Coast and Malabar Coast.

Scattered thunderstorms have been forecast over Trans Himalayas and Western Himalayan.
