High alert of heavy rains for two days in eight cities of Uttarakhand

Dehradun: The rainy season is going on. Uttarakhand Emergency Operations Center has issued a high alert of maximum rainfall till 13 August in some areas of eight cities of the state including Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri.

They have issued a letter to all collectors in this regard and has given instructions to take precautions.

In a letter issued by Joint Secretary Pradeep Joshi of the Center, forecasts heavy rain and lightning in some areas of Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital, Udhamsinghnagar, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Chamoli. They have been asked to take measures regarding public safety. Collectors have been asked to control the movement of people. Take immediate terrestrial action in the event of disaster and accident and inform the control room.

The designated officers for all the IAS systems of disaster management have been asked to be vigilant. Revenue inspectors, village development officers and gram panchayat officers will be present in their areas. All posts and police stations have also been asked to be on high alert, including disaster management related devices and wireless. In four cities of the state, maximum rainfall may occur on many areas on Wednesday. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of celestial lightning in many areas. In view of this, the Weather Department has issued an Orange Alert, and everyone has also been alerted.
