Highest single-day spike at 663 new coronavirus cases; 16 death: Punjab

 

Punjab announced 663 new coronavirus cases and 16 passings on Friday, the state’s clinical notice said – the most noteworthy single-day spike in COVID-19 cases the state has seen at this point.

Ludhiana’s COVID-19 numbers keep on rising alarmingly – the locale detailed 248 new coronavirus cases and six of Friday’s 16 passings, the most elevated of any of Punjab’s areas, Friday’s COVI notice appeared.

At 136 new coronavirus cases, Patiala likewise announced the most elevated single-day spike in disease.

Punjab’s coronavirus cases presently remain at 16,119 – more than 65 percent (10,551) of the state’s cases being accounted for in July alone. For correlation, the state revealed 3,305 cases in June and 1,788 cases in May.

Five regions with more than 1000 COVID-19 cases – Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala and Sangrur – represent more than 62 percent of the state’s cases.

Around 47 percent of the state’s COVID-19 cases are as yet dynamic, the announcement shows.

The state’s loss of life currently remains at 386.
