Home Guard volunteer ends life in Hisar

HISAR: A 30-year-old Home Guard volunteer and a resident of Kishangarh village in Hisar, Inderpal, committed suicide by hanging himself from a window of Traffic police station in Sector 14, Hisar on Monday night.

His body has been handed over to his kin after postmortem. Police said that the deceased had spoken to one of his friends before taking the extreme step.

"At 10pm, Inderpal received a call from the control room about a truck that had overturned near Aryanagar. He then spoke to munshi Didar Singh and then went to the SHO's office," a police official said.

At 10.30pm, Inderpal spoke to Yogender. His last sent text on WhatsApp was 'Jai Hind'. Later he hanged himself.
