Hunt on for missing trader in Jhalawar

A businessman in Jhalrapatan town of Jhalawar is missing since Monday noon. His family has lodged a missing report following which police have launched a hunt to trace him. The businessman was allegedly under a huge debt and his mobile phone is also switched off. Anand Patni, 32, a stone trader in Jhalrapatan town has been missing since Monday noon, said Jagdish Meena, SHO, Jhalrapatan police station.

He left home yesterday noon on his motorbike and did not return till late evening following which his family members lodged a missing report, he added. Reportedly, Patni is under a heavy debt and yesterday also two local traders had been persistently calling him demanding to pay back their borrowed money, SHO Meena said. Before switching off his mobile phone yesterday afternoon, he had called one of his friends Vishal Patni and asked him to lend him some money but he declined, added the SHO. Efforts were underway to trace him, he said. tnn
