Hyderabad: Driver loses control of RTC bus, damages 3 vehicles

HYDERABAD: Three vehicles at Habsiguda junction were damaged when a temporary driver failed to control an RTC bus on Monday morning.


“The Jangaon depot RTC bus going from Jubilee Bus Station to Jangaon was passing through Habsiguda traffic junction. The driver failed to stop the vehicle when the signal turned red and the bus came to a halt only after hitting a car and a bike.

The two vehicles bumped into two other vehicles in front. A car and two bikes were also partially damaged. No one suffered injuries in the mishap,” OU SI B Harishwar Reddy, said.

After the incident, Chandulal, the driver, abandoned the bus and fled from the spot. The bus had to be towed away by traffic police. Chandulal surrendered at the Uppal police station later. Police booked a case under Section 279 of the IPC against him.
