Hyderabad: 'Possessive' girl commits suicide after tiff with 'best friend'

Hyderabad: In a tragic case reported from Hyderabad, a 21-year-old student, who was possessive about her female friend, committed suicide by consuming hair dye at King Koti on Saturday. 

The deceased was identified as Sridevi and her friend was named Namratha. The Narayanguda Police said that both women were best friends.

According to a report in the Times of India, they used to stay at a hostel in Narayanguda, they had shared rooms before Namratha had left the hostel. 

Reportedly, Namratha appeared for an examination and Sridevi reached her centre and took her to the hostel where she confined her to her room. Meanwhile, Namratha somehow escaped the room and lodged an official complaint with the police. Reportedly, on Saturday, Sridevi approached again, who left after a brief conversation. Sridevi who was carrying a hair dye consumed it. She was immediately rushed to King Koti hospital and later to Apollo hospital Hyderguda. 

However, the girl succumbed while undergoing treatment. 

In another case reported from Hyderabad, a three-year-old girl who was hit by a police vehicle in a parking lot at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. Reportedly, the victim was being treated at the Kamineni hospital. 

The accused constable who drove the jeep was identified as A Shekhar, he was arrested by the police and subsequently, a case was reported against him. The victim was identified as B Pranitha, a resident of the Dilsukhnagar area. She was visiting the temple with her family members when the incident happened. 

Meanwhile, the accused constable who has recently been promoted visited the temple along with his family members for Thanksgiving. While reversing his car, he did not see the sleeping girl, who came under the left tyre. Reportedly, immediately after the incident, the girl was rushed to a nearby hospital in LB Nagar, where she succumbed to her injuries.
