Improved single-window system by year-end: CM Ashok Gehlot

JAIPUR: Chairing a review meeting of industries department at his residence, chief minister Ashok Gehlot again laid thrust on improving the single-window clearance mechanism to enhance ease of doing business in the state to attract investors and entrepreneurs.

The department has already reworked the policy, which will now be known as One-Stop-Shop, so that investors do not have to approach multiple authorities to get clearances and approvals.

He directed the officials to implement a revised version of the single window system by the year-end.

Speaking on the need for a long-term policy for new industrial zones, he said industry needs to have multiple suitable locations and land rates also should be lower so that it can act as a catalyst for the investors.

Gehlot has been talking about improving the single-window system invariably in every event or occasion related to investment or industries.
