Improvised Explosive Device Found on Srinagar-Baramulla Road Defused

Security forces on Tuesday morning detected an Improvised Explosive Device on Srinagar-Baramulla road, a police officer said.

A patrol party of 29RR in  Tapper area of Pattan noticed a suspicious object near petrol pump on Srinagar-Baramulla Highway and immediately called for a bomb disposal squad, SDPO Pattan Zaffar Mehdi told news agency KDC.

To avert civilian causalities, the police and army cordoned off the area, taking adequate security measures and neutralised the Improvised Explosive Device in the same place employing their expert bomb disposal squad. he said.(KDC)
