In threat call, businessman's son asked to shut Jharkhand centre

RAIPUR: A 29-year-old prominent businessman's son has lodged an FIR with Chhattisgarh police after he started getting threat calls from an unidentified mobile number. An FIR has been registered at Devendra Nagar police station in Raipur .


According to police, businessman Gajaraj Pagaria's son Priyesh, who resides in Vivekanand Nagar in Raipur, said in his complaint that the caller used abusive language and threatened to kill him.



Priyesh is the director of a private university, run by Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Educational & Cultural Society (SBMJEC). The society also runs skill development centre under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gramin Kaushal Vikas Yojana in Garhwa district of Jharkhand . He has been frequently receiving missed calls from this particular number for the past few days, but he did not pay attention towards these phone calls.

On October 5, the complainant received a derogatory text message from the number and he called on the unknown number. Initially, there was silence on the other side. After he prodded the person to talk, he started using cuss words and also threatened him to close down the skill development centre, running at Garhwa district in Jharkhand failing which he would kill him. When, the complainant searched the unknown number through a caller identification app one Alok Sharma's name cropped up. Later, he approached police and lodged a complaint. An FIR was registered against unidentified accused under Section 509 (B) and section 507 of the IPC at Devendra Nagar police station. Cops are trying to trace the mobile number that was used for threat call.

Earlier in the year 2016, Priyesh had a narrow escape when some unidentified people fired three bullets at his BMW car at his farmhouse located at Mahadev Ghat in state capital. Priyesh had just got down from the car when he was attacked.
