Indore: Workers get paid leave for voting

INDORE: All industries , except continuous process factories, will remain closed on Sunday allowing manpower exercise their franchise.


Most industries have declared a paid holiday for their employees adhering to the directions of district administration. The shutdown will lead to production loss in industries owing to which some industries may operate at night to compensate the loss, while others have planned to grant relaxation of 2 to 4 hours in a shift.



A Pithampur packaging firm corporate affairs head Dinesh Mishra said, “Our facility is completely shut on polling day. But we have made special arrangements for the dangerous departments.”
