Indoreans start feeling the heat, Met forecasts scorcher

INDORE: Indoreans are gradually felling the summer heat with increase in day and night temperatures. According to Met forecast, day temperature in coming days is likely to go up by two to three degree Celsius across the state.

The maximum temperature on Thursday had touched 35.8 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal.

Whereas the minimum temperature recorded on Thursday was 19.5 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal.

On Friday, minimum and maximum temperatures were slightly lower at 33.6 degree Celsius and 17.4 degree Celsius. According to the weatherman, slight clouding may be experienced on Monday March 25, while before and afterwards, temperature will keep escalating.

“When temperature is recorded in the proximity of normal temperature for a few days at a stretch and these is not much fluctuation in pattern of maximum temperature as well as minimum temperature, summer can be said to have set it. The month of March is pre summer month, by the end of which summer usually begins,” Birendra Singh Dhakad, assistant scientist at Indore meteorological observatory said.

Temperature in Indore remained between 33 and 35 degrees throughout the week. The temperature in southern parts of the state such as Khandwa and Khargone shot up to 38 degrees and 40 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in the week has also increased as compared to past week in Indore. Last week, temperatures were being recorded in the range of 14 to 16 degree Celsius. The night temperatures in city in the current week were recorded in the range of 17 to 19 degree Celsius, touching the normal mark.
