IPL 2024: Rishabh Pant's Post Accident Fitness Journey Will Motivate You

Rishabh Pant, the left-handed Indian batsman known for his aggressive batting style, is playing his 100th IPL match for Delhi Capitals today, on the 28th of March. This historic occasion will make him the first cricketer worldwide to achieve this feat for the franchise. The 100th IPL match between Delhi Capital and Rajasthan Royals is his 2nd IPL match after his life-threatening road accident in December 2022.

As per sources, after the accident, the recovery began by focusing on his gut health, which is very important for digestion and nutrient absorption. To help him, Khichdi was the number 1 choice as it was easy to digest and provided the necessary nourishment. Rishabh Pant took the help of portion control and ate a balanced diet to manage his weight.

2. Food For Protein Intake 

He also ate jowar paranthas and zucchini pancakes to get the required protein. Pant’s diet also had a special sweet crafted from nuts, seeds and honey.

To make sure his diet worked, Rishabh Pant did power cleans to strengthen his whole body. To build muscles, burn fat, and improve athleticism, Rishabh incorporated deadlifts and rowing into his routine. 

His recovery progressed at a much faster rate than the timeline slated by a doctor. 

4. Hydration Is Key

Rishabh made sure to drink water at regular intervals to feel energised throughout the day. He also drank juice that included carrot, beetroot, and amla to recover fast during his recovery process.

5. Sleep Schedule

To make the recovery process a bit faster, Rishabh goes to bed by 10 pm and sleeps for more than 7 hours.
