IRCTC Ramayana Express tour package: Date, price, booking and more

New Delhi: Indian Railways' e-ticketing, catering and tourism arm IRCTC has reintroduced Ramayana Express Circuit tours. Note that IRCTC's Bhopal Regional Office offers “Bharat Darshan” one of the most affordable all-inclusive tour packages, covering the important religious and leisure destinations by the Bharat Darshan special tourist train. 

The 15 days/14 nights Ramayana Express tour will cover Ayodhya, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Rameshwaram and Madurai. The tour will start on November 18, 2019.  The package costs Rs 17,325 (3 AC class) per person and Rs 14,175 (Sleeper class) per person, which is inclusive of providing travel by train in 3AC class/2nd Class Sleeper coach. 

Besides this, the cost includes hall accommodation at places of night stay/morning freshening up, pure vegetarian meals, tourist buses for visiting sightseeing spots, tour escorts for announcements and information, security arrangements for each coach (without arms) and an IRCTC official on the train as Train Superintendent.

Terms and conditions:

1. Being a cost value package, personalized service is not viable.

2. Medical fitness: Senior citizens above 69 years must carry a medical declaration of “FIT TO TRAVEL” from an authorized medical doctor. 

3. While travelling, there might be some delay in providing food, so old people & diabetic passengers may carry some refreshments.

4. There may be changes in sightseeing that may be caused due to situations which may arise & the same has to be adhered to.

5. You should carry an identity card (Aadhar Card, Voter Card, Driving License, Pan Card, Passport or any Govt. Identity Card) and one recent passport-size coloured photograph while travelling; this is for verification when needed.

6. In case of any problem arising due to some natural calamity or abnormal situation, alternate arrangements will be made for which extra cost is to be borne by the tourists.

7. The passengers will have to bear all medical expenses incurred on them, if the need arises.

8. Please carry your own bedding, regular medicines, doctor’s prescriptions & contact number, torch, umbrella, lock & chain for securing luggage, nylon rope for drying clothes, and water bottle to stock drinking water.

It is worth mentioning that as per IRCTC tourism website, timings mentioned are tentative and may change. Final timings will be issued by railway operating department and will be intimated 1-2 days before the commencement of the journey.
