Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum Movie Review
Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum as the film suggests, is a love story between King of Spades and Queen of Hearts. Gautham (Harish Kalyan) has a bad childhood, his mom breakups with his dad and moves on with another man. Gautham thinks that the mistake is completely on his mom whereas, in reality, his dad’s (Ponvannan) rude and disrespectful behavior is the major reasons behind the broken marriage.Gautham has anger management issues and often calls a spade a spade, he can’t sugarcoat things and this character often lands him in huge trouble.
Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum belongs to three people—Harish Kalyan, music composer Sam CS and cinematographer Kavin Raj. Harish Kalyan proves his acting caliber with the swag and carries his character with the right attitude ( He tries to imitate Vijay Deverakonda in Arjun Reddy). If Harish works with the right directors, he seems to have a bright future.Sam CS’ songs and background score good. The constantly moving frames capture the expressions of the actors accurately, the vivid color tone for each and every scene conveys the mood of the characters. The film’s biggest letdown is Shilpa Manjunath and the director’s self-indulgence. Though Shilpa has performed well, she looks mature for Harish Kalyan and we dont see any chemistry between them! To be precise, despite being talented, Shilpa is a miscast here. After a point of time, director Ranjith Jeyakodi has extended the climax of the film with needless scenes and his cameo as the drug supplier only tests our patience. For the first time in his career, Ma.Ka.Pa. Aanand evokes some genuine laughter and as usual, Bala Saravanan scores with his one-liners.Overall, Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum
