Jaganmohan was ready to offer money to become Andhra CM, alleges Farooq Abdullah

NEW DELHI: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday accused YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy of offering Rs 1500 crore in the past to the Congress to become the CM of combined Andhra Pradesh .


Addressing an election rally in Kadapa , Andhra Pradesh, the National Conference chief said that Jagan had met him after his father's death and he was ready to offer Rs 1500 crore to the Congress if he was made chief minister of then combined AP.



"How did he get so much money? Does he have a treasure buried somewhere, that must have been from a loot," he added.


Farooq Abdullah was campaigning in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh for TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu for the upcoming Lok Sabha and the assembly elections .

Simultaneous polls to the 175 assembly seats and the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, which will see a single-phase election, will be held on April 11.
Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
