Jaisalmer, Barmer rejoice

Jaisalmer: People in the border districts of Jaisalmer and Barmer on Monday rejoiced following the Centre’s announcement to revoke special status to Jammu & Kashmir. The entire area was in the mood for celebration.

At Hanuman Circle, Jaisalmer, hundreds of people celebrated by bursting crackers and distributing sweets.

Similar scenes were witnessed in almost all parts of the district. There were some who were seen shouting slogans in praise of the Prime Minister.

Some were of the opinion that post-Independence Article 370 had been misused in the Valley . TNN
