Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces killed 2 terrorists in an encounter in Kulgam

An encounter between security forces and militants took place on Saturday in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.  A police officer said that after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Vanpura area of this district of South Kashmir, a search operation was carried out after siege of the area.  The officer said that the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which retaliation was taken.

According to the information given by the Twitter handle of Kashmir Zone Police, in this encounter, the security forces have killed two terrorists.  The identity of these terrorists and that they are connected to the organization is being investigated.

Last week (25 May), two militants were killed by security forces in an encounter with tankists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.  According to the information, this encounter took place in Hanjipora area of the district itself.
