Jhansi Ki Rani, May 13, Preview: Will Lakshmi Bai's enmity with the British ruin her marriage?

Manikarnika, the young girl from Bithoor, is now the Queen of Jhansi. The daughter of Krantikari Bharat (Moropant Tambe) is like her father - patriotic, courageous and fearless. She wishes to serve her motherland and is ready to sacrifice her life for the country. But now that she is married to Gangadhar, the King of Jhansi, she gets torn between her responsibilities as Queen and as a wife.

Maharani Lakshmi Bai, who organises Shodshopchar Anushthan Puja, impresses Gangadhar. He is also spellbound after knowing that she continued to prepare for the Puja even after getting her palm burnt with acid. But after winning applause for her efforts, she ends up irking him by breaking the protocol.

Maharani Lakshmi Bai rushes to help an injured old man and makes him rest in Jank Bai's enclosure. Gangadhar gets irked with her and reminds her that she has to behave like a Queen. Lakshmi Bai wonders if helping an injured is insulting to a Queen's pride and image.

She invites further trouble by confronting Captain Ross for killing her people on her soil.

The precap shows Lakshmi Bai warning Ross against doing anything that would harm her people. She threatens to bring him to books if he fails to pull up his socks. But by moving out of the palace without the King's consent may make her marriage hit the rocks.

Moropant, her father had asked her to give priority to her duty as a wife but has she failed to live up to his expectations? How will Lakshmi Bai win Gangadhar's trust once again?
