Jhansi Ki Rani, May 14, Written Update: Gangadhar confronts Ross for insulting Lakshmi Bai

Janki Bai stops Maharani Lakshmi Bai from stepping inside the palace. She confronts Moropant Tambe for not bringing up his daughter well. Lakshmi Bai intervenes and asks her not to humiliate her father because not he but she is at fault,

Moropant is upset with his daughter for disobeying him and disrespecting the institution of marriage.

Janki Bai asks Moropant to take his daughter away. But Lakshmi Bai refuses to leave with her father stating that only her husband can decide her fate.

Lakshmi Bai refuses to leave until Gangadhar asks her to go. She reminds Janki Bai that she is not Manikarnika but Lakshmi Bai, the Queen of Jhansi. Gangadhar asks Lakshmi Bai to visit him in his enclosure. He breaks a piece of glass to vent his anger. Lakshmi Bai collects the broken pieces of glass and keeps them aside.

Manu explains her situation and tells Gangadhar that her love for her nation makes her do things that are against the principles of royalty. Her passion for the motherland and her genuine efforts to save it from the clutches of the foreigners pacifies Gangadhar.

He asks her to return to her enclosure and remain there until he forgives her. But she gets heartbroken after Gangadhar says she has lost the right to share his room.

To avenge the insult Ross and Rob visit the Palace to confront Gangadhar and ask him to keep his wife under control. Gangadhar asks Ross to extend courtesy to his wife because she is the Queen of Jhansi. Ross, for the first time, shows his true colours by saying that Lakshmi Bai will be the Queen only if Gangadhar continues to be the King.

Gangadhar tells Ross that he is not accusing Rob of the murder for no reason. He says he has reasons to point fingers at Rob. Gangadhar, who had remained subdued for long, opens up to show his might leaving his sister-in-laws speechless.

But before Gangadhar to explain why he feels Rob is guilty, he admits to murdering the old man.
