Jhansi Ki Rani, May 8, Written Update: Ross suspects Moropant's involvement with the 'Krantikaris'

Kashi wipes the muddy footprints left by Lakshmibai to save her from getting caught by Janki Bai. After Ross gets a call for help, he visits the Palace to know where the Queen was. He meets Janki Bai to find out why Lakshmi Bai went missing. Ross, who doubts Moropant's involvement with the Krantikaris (revolutionaries), invites him for the inauguration of the rail project.

Next morning, a few villagers get attacked by a group of unknown men. Meanwhile, Lakshmi Bai accidentally gets a chance to get closer to Gangadhar. Janki Bai, Laccho Bai and Sakku Bai peep inside the King's private enclosure to know what's brewing between him and his Queen.

Sakku Bai and Janki Bai do not want Gangadhar and Rani Lakshmi Bai to unite but Laccho Bai, the King and the Queen's well-wisher, secretly hopes for their marriage is a success. But she pretends to be a friend of Sakku Bai and Janki Bai to enjoy the luxuries a palace offers.

Later in the day, when Gangadhar and Rani Lakshmi Bai attend the court to interact with the people, they come to know that many villagers have gone missing. Lakshmi Bai recalls her conversation with Kashi who informs her about people who have gone missing.

After listening to people's problems, Gangadhar asks Tatya Dikshit to take help from Ross and start investigations to find out why people have gone untraceable.

For those who joined in late, here's the backstory. Ross suspects Rani Lakshmi Bai's involvement in the engine blast and Moropant's association with the revolutionaries. He has his eyes fixed on Moropant because he suspects he is Krantikari Bharat.

Ross wishes to set up the rail route in India to extract as much as he can from Indians by exploiting them. Apart from raw materials like coal and cotton, Ross has plans to transport animals to China.

Rani Lakshmi Bai who knows Ross' real intentions, wishes to ruin his plans by blowing up the rail route by creating an underground tunnel.
