JMC removes illegal hoardings
JAMMU: On the directions of Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Avny Lavasa and under the overall supervision of Secretary JMC, Tinna Mahajan, a team of JMC removed illegal hoardings and banners from various roads and rooftop in the city.
A handout of JMC stated that nine big hoarding structures mounted on roofs as well as on ground within the premises of Press Club Jammu were cleared.
During the drive, JMC removed all illegal hoardings which were in place since years and were installed without the permission of JMC.
JMC claimed that installation of such illegal hoardings, signboards, posters, banners and bill boards deface the property, buildings and walls of the city and are constant threat to pedestrians and traffic safety.
JMC has appealed to the public to remove all such hoardings, sign boards, posters, banners, bill boards and pole kiosks installed illegally failing which action will be initiated against the offenders.
