Joao Cancelo close to becoming a Manchester City player

The English Champions Manchester City are in the aftermath of a brilliant treble winning season but with such an achievement comes along the expectation of repeating or doing better next season. For that to happen , Manchester City need to bolster their ranks.

Apart from the usual Matthjis De Ligt speculations, Manchester City haven’t really been linked with any player as the emphasis at the club is on a Vincent Kompany farewell and manager Pep Guardiola’s rumours with Juventus.

Portuguese media outlet Recorc believes that Joao Cancelo is being touted to Manchester City. The Portuguese right-back has had an impressive season at Juventus.

Tactically , Cancelo would be a huge boost to City as he can play right back in a back 4 as well wing back ahead of a back 3.

The Portuguese International possesses great running ability and can whip in dangerous crosses. His pacey dribbles and underlaps make him a lethal offensive player and City are known to involve their fullbacks/wingbacks up front.
