Junior draftsman arrested red-handed accepting bribe of Rs 80,000 in Nashik
NASHIK: A junior draftsman was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting bribe of Rs 80,000 in Nashik 's Malegaon on Tuesday.
The junior draftsman, attached with the office of town planner, is identified as Anil Nikam .
According to the ACB of Nashik, the complainant had approached the town planning office on August 8 to get a no objection certificate from for a petrol pump, which was approved in his wife's name.
Junior draftsman Anil Nikam told the complainant that he would have to pay Rs 80,000 for getting the no objection certificate.
The concerned person lodged a complaint against Nikam, on the instructions of the ACB sleuths called up Nikam and asked him the place where the money should be paid. The draftsman asked the complainant to arrive with the money at the Panchavati Karanja bus stand in the city on Tuesday.
The ACB officials then laid a trap and arrested Nikam red-handed while accepting the bribe in front of the government Panch.
