Karbi Anglong lynching: Three witnesses turn hostile

GUWAHATI: At least three eyewitnesses in the Karbi Anglong lynching case have turned hostile so far. Though initially, one eyewitness, Numal Basumatary, had turned hostile and alleged that police had forced him to make statements against the accused, including his brother, two others - Ujjal Mech and Dipen Rongpi - have also changed their versions later.

All the hostile witnesses have accused Assam police of harassing, threatening and forcing them to lie in front of the magistrate.
