Kathua DLSA organizes legal awareness camp

A legal awareness camp on Rights of Women and protection of women from domestic violence (PWDV) Act was today organized under the supervision of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Pawan Dev Kotwal here at Government Girls Hr. Sec. School.The main objective of the camp was to make the students aware about the rights of women and their protection from domestic violence.  Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Aarti Mohan delivered the lecture to the students regarding various issues related to women and steps provided in law for overcoming the same.

She also highlighted various schemes launched by the Government for the benefit of women and impressed upon the students to take maximum benefits of these schemes.Retainer lawyers, Advocate Sunita Devi, Puneet Kumari and Sumit Jasrotia of DLSA and TLSA also spoke on the occasion regarding the rights of women and their protection from domestic violence.Staff of Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School along with large number of students participated in the awareness camp. Para Legal volunteers of DLSA and TLSA were also present on the occasion.Principal, Govt.
