Kerala: CPM MLA U Prathibha's estranged husband Hari KR found dead in Malappuram house

Thiruvananthapuram: The estranged husband of Kayamkulam MLA U Prathibha was on Monday found dead at his rented house in Kerala’s Malappuram. Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) overseer Hari KR (47) was a native of Thakazhi in Alappuzha.

Prathiba, who also hails from Alappuzha, is CPI(M) MLA from Kayamkulam.

Various reports suggested that when Hari’s neighbours did not see him this morning, they informed the KSEB office and police. As cops began the search, they found him hanging at his home at Chungathara near Nilambur.

Hari had tied the knot with Kayamkulam MLA U Prathibha in 2001; however, the couple got divorced last year.

Hari was living separately from his family. The Edakkara Police have filed a case.
