Kidnappers demand 4 crores as ransom, 4 arrested including woman after encounter

Lucknow: New cases of crime are coming up daily in Uttar Pradesh. In the kidnapping case of 8-year-old son Namo Gupta of a businessman in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh police have recovered the child safely within 17 hours. In this kidnapping and extortion case, STF and Crime Branch have taken 5 kidnappers into custody.

Also during the encounter, two accused were shot, who have been admitted to the hospital.

On the other hand, a reward of 2 lakh has been announced by the state government to the police team. The information has been received that this encounter took place in Colonelganj, Gonda. ADG LO Prashant Kumar has reached the spot. The STF has recovered the Alto car used in the abduction, a 32 bore pistol and two 315 bore tanks. During his press conference, ADG LO Prashant Kumar said "Soon after the FIR of the case, several police teams were deployed. And the incident is being thoroughly investigated."

The encounter took place on informer's information in the village Para this morning. Kidnappers were taking the child to another location by car. The kidnapped child Namo was safely recovered in the encounter, and two miscreants Umesh Yadav and Deepu Kashyap were seriously injured. Suraj Pandey, his wife Chitra Pandey and his younger brother Raj Pandey have been taken into custody. Treatment of injured miscreants is underway. Police informed that a reward of Rs 1 lakh each has been announced by the government to STF and local police. Right now the whole case is being investigated. On the other hand, the interrogation of witnesses is also going on.
