Kolkata Police STF nabs top JMB terrorist Abdul Kareem from Murshidabad

Kolkata: In a massive victory for our security forces, a top operative of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh was arrested by Kolkata Police’s Special Task Force from West Bengal’s Murshidabad district on Friday.

The search for Kareem was on for over a year and he was wanted in several cases, such as arson, providing logistical support, shelter and weapons to top terror leaders.

Kareem, who is known to be a very close associate of JMB chief Salahuddin Salehin, was arrested from Suti Police Station area in Murshidabad. He will be produced before the court later in the day.

The terrorist hails from Jangipur in Murshidabad district and around a year ago, explosives and incriminating evidence was recovered from his residence. His name was also mentioned as a main operative by JMB terrorists in Bangladesh.
