Labour gets crushed by a high-speed car, villagers jam highway
Hamirpur: Five kilometers from Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district headquarters on the Betwa bridge on Kanpur-Sagar National Highway-34 on Friday morning, a Scorpio car crushed a poor shopkeeper on foot, causing death on the spot. The angry villagers blocked the dead bodies on the highway. Police have reached the spot as soon as the incident is reported.

Ramprakash alias Baggad (50), a resident of Patyora Road Somechha village in Sadar Kotwali area, was maintaining his family by selling food items in Thillia. On Friday morning, he came out of the house and came on the Kanpur-Sagar highway, when a high-speed Scorpio crushed him. Due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, the driver escaped from the scene with Scorpio.

The incident has caused anger among the people of the entire village. The family started a ruckus with the rural women by placing a flywheel jam on the highway. Roadways Corporation buses and light vehicles got stuck on the road. Long queues of trains started towards Mahoba and Hamirpur. Kotwali and UP-100 police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Police officials are also trying to get the jam opened on the spot.
