Leopard Killed By Unidentified Vehicle At Katraj Tunnel

Pune: In a shocking incident, an unidentified vehicle hit a leopard on highway near to Karaj Tunnel in Pune on Thursday night, in which adult leopard found to be dead as per the forest officials.

The incident came to light when the Information was shared by a passerby, according to them they found a leopard in an unwanted situation near to Karaj tunnel after which they pass information to Katraj police station.

A team of officials from the Katraj police station reached at the spot and found leopard dead. Leopard has an injury on forehead due to which leopard died, say forest officials on the spot.

According to forest officials, “It’s really unfortunate that people are driving vehicles at such a rapid speed and neglecting the warning signboard displayed on highways, which appeals commuters to drive slowly as some wild animals would be passing from such areas.”
