Life without any bad habits is the real life: Achayra Mahashramanji

Mysuru: The Tri-Nation Ahimsa Yatra of the 11th acharya of Jain Terapanth Samaj, Acharya Mahashramanji , reached the city on Tuesday. He was received by Suttur seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Kanakagiri jain mutt seer Bhuvanakeerti Bhattaraka swamiji.

Mahaveer Derasriya, president of Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Vikas Gugliya, member of Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Vikas Jain of Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and several community leaders like Mahendra Jain were present on the occasion.

Over 50 pontiffs from various mutts and religious institutions from Mysuru, Hassan and Chamarajanagar districts were also present.

The acharya arrived in the city from Srirangapatna. He met his devotees and disciples at JSS Dental College.

Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Mahashramanji urged people to develop goodwill, good thoughts and life without any bad habits. “A clean life shall be our motto. We need to spread the message of love and peace everywhere. Communal harmony should be protected. I have taken up this task to inculcate the non-violent way of life,” he said.

He also spoke about the Jain philosophy and the values. He said that non-violence shall be treated as a way of life. “Life without any bad habits is the real life,” he said.

Suttur seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami observed that if non-violence is followed in true spirit, it will help all of us achieve universal brotherhood.

On Wednesday, the Ahimsa rally will start at 6.45 am from JSS Dental College. It will first reach St Philomena's church from where it will move to Kote Anjaneya Swamy temple near the palace.

Sri Mahashramanji and Suttur seer will address a gathering on the occasion.
