Jaipur: The locust swarms continued to spread across the state, recording its presence in 22 districts or two-third of Rajasthan since April 11.

On Friday, huge swarms were spotted in the nine districts of Nagaur, Baran, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Sikar, Jaipur, Dausa and Jodhpur, forcing the state agriculture department and Locust Warning Organization (LWO) to launch preventing operations to contain its movement within the area.

With more districts coming under locust attack, losses too are piling up for farmers and the government every passing day.
