Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Activities To Be Held Under Sveep Campaign For Voters' Awareness

Keeping in view the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the calendar for activities to be held under SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Program) campaign was issued here today .Voters in the district will be made aware on different aspects of voting under this SVEEP campaign to enable people cast their vote - their biggest contribution towards democratic set up.The District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mansa Miss Apneet Riyait said this while presiding over meeting convened to gauge the preparedness for Lok Sabha elections 2019.

She said that various debates and declamations contests will be held at the schools and colleges to create awareness on casting vote. Starting from March 18 onwards, the activities will ensure participation of a large number of people . Besides this jago and prabhat pheris will also be held promoting good voting practices.She added that all the sub divisional magistrates are setting up Chunav Pathshala (election school) in respective areas to create awareness especially amongst the rural voters.  This Chunav Pathshala will cover 25 activities and 6 games.
It will educate people on various aspects of voting from making votes to polling the same in easy language. Besides this, she also reviewed the facilities that will be made available at the five each model polling stations being set up in various vidhan sabha constituencies.District Election Officer also took stock of the working of mobile applications C Vigil and Suwidha and discussed various aspects of these applications. She directed that no officer of employee associated with the elections should switch off his of her mobile phone.
Every election staff should carry spare power banks so that they are easily accessible at the time of need.ADC (G) Mr Rajdeep Singh, ADC (D) Mr Gurmeet Singh, SDM Mansa Mr Abhijeet Kaplish, SDM Budhlada Mr Aditya Dhachwal, SDM Sardulgarh Mr Latif Ahmed,assistant commissioner Mr Navdeep Kumar, DDPO Mr. Dinesh Vashisht, SP (H) Mr Major Singh, election tehsildar Mr Gurcharan Singh and others were also present.
