Lok Sabha Polls: Smriti Irani questions Priyanka Gandhi's 'rambhakti'
New Delhi: BJP leader Smriti Irani attacked Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and questioned her devotion towards Lord Rama on Tuesday.
“The Congress party which once questioned the existence of Lord Rama is today pretending to be His devotees,” Irani said in a public meeting in UP’s Bhadohi. BJP has once again fielded her against Rahul Gandhi in Congress bastion Amethi.
Priyanka is scheduled to kick-off a three-day election campaign to Ayodhya on March 29. It was earlier scheduled on March 27, however on Tuesday, sources informed that the visit has been delayed by two days. Since her official political debut in January 2019, Priyanka has already visited two significant temple towns in the state – PM Modi’s constituency Varanasi and Prayagraj. She is likely to halt at 32 points between Faizabad to Amethi including Raebareli and Barabanki during the campaign.
