The two said to had grown fond of each other after meeting in 2017, and finally decided to tie the knot , according to Rajasthani traditions.

Vyas attends the desert festival every year.

Swetlana met Shashi during the desert festival in 2017 in the district, and soon grew fond of each other over exchanges on social media. It was not long before the two decided to marry, despite the cultural divide.

The wedding was held in a traditional Rajasthani style at Pokhran, in the presence of both of their parents and families.

The marriage took place according to Hindu rituals. Two days ago, functions started with a Ganesh Sthapana, followed by the haldi and mehendi ceremonies and the sangeet.

Swetlana’s father, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and a few of her friends attended the wedding. The ceremonies took place at Vyason ki Bagichi on Phalsoon Road.

The only problem in their alliance was the traditions and rituals of the Pushkarna community. When Vyas spoke to his family members, they agreed for the marriage.

Swetlana said she is very pleased with the Rajasthani culture and is feeling very enthusiastic after getting married in a Rajasthani style.
