Ludhiana: Advanced equipment donated to ENT dept of CMCH

Ludhiana: To provide affordable healthcare to people, Vardhman Group donated advanced equipment to the ENT Department of CMCH. SP Oswal Chairman and Managing Director of the Vardhman Group inaugurated the new OPD services in ENT Department CMCH . He has provided the latest cutting edge technology equipment for advanced Medical and Surgical care of patients suffering from ear, nose and throat diseases.
This has been donated by the Vardhman group to Christian Medical College & Hospital.

Speaking at the occasion Oswal said, “ENT diseases specially Head and Neck Cancers are increasing in Punjab and it can be a cause of lot of sufferings, pain and death if not treated appropriately in time. Advanced care for these patients is available only at very few centres in this region. At the same time, the treatment cost is very expensive due to high cost involved in procuring these equipment making the treatment beyond the reach of the common man.” Dr William Bhatti, Director CMC & Hospital said, “The new and improved workstation and various equipment procured in operation theatre will provide a quality services to the patients at affordable costs.

Department of ENT also offer high-quality advanced endoscopic and head and neck surgical procedures with the latest operating instruments. The addition of these equipment will bring the best in class care within the reach of the needy people of Punjab and surrounding areas” Dr Navneet Kumar, Professor & Head of department of ENT at CMC Ludhiana said, “The department of ENT established in 1960s is one of the most experienced and trusted services in the region. We have added an advanced OPD workstation with latest attachments. We have also procured specialized instruments for minimally invasive nasal and head and neck surgery. The department has a well-established training programme under highly experienced senior consultants, specializing in diseases of ear, nose and throat. We also provide advanced care in head and neck cancer surgeries, while running a 24-hour emergency for trauma, foreign bodies, nose, bleeds, and airway.
