Madhya Pradesh: Active Covid-19 cases in Agar, Mandsaur decrease

INDORE: Agar and Mandsaur districts of Ujjain division have shown improvement in containing Covid-19 spread as active cases in districts came down to two and seven respectively. The division at present has only 235 active cases against 1,759 reported till date, stated the divisional health bulletin released by the regional director office.




As many as 16 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Ujjain division on Sunday taking the tally to 1,759. One more death was attributed to the pandemic taking the toll to 105 in the division. Among the 16 new cases, eight are from Ujjain, seven from Dewas and one from Ratlam.

With this, the district-wise tally of Covid-19 cases stood at 843 for Ujjain, 205 for Dewas and 134 for Ratlam. The only death in the division was reported in Ujjain district taking the district’s toll to 69.

Moreover, eight new cases were found in Indore division on Sunday taking the tally to 5,510.

Indore division regional director, Dr JS Awasiya said, “Eight new positive cases were reported from districts of Indore division except for Indore. But, no new death was reported from the districts except Indore.”

Among the new cases, Dhar, Khargone and Burhanpur reported one each while Khandwa reported three and Barwani two cases. With this, the district-wise tally stood at 145 for Dhar, 260 for Khargone, 80 for Barwani, 287 for Khandwa and 390 for Burhanpur. The divisional death toll remained at 260.
