Madhya Pradesh: Narmada flowing above danger mark, administration issues high alert

Bhopal: Narmada river is flowing up to six feet above the danger mark in Barwah, Madhya Pradesh. Barwah bridge is just three feet left in the sinking. As soon as the water level of one meter Narmada rises, the bridge will be completely submerged, although the administration has stopped all kinds of traffic from Barwah Narmada Bridge for three days.

Explain that the filler of Narmada water in the river-drain connecting with the constantly increasing water level is also increasing.

Road connectivity of eight villages has been broken due to Narmada water rising ten feet in the Dahikhal Nallah of Mehtakheri connecting Indore-Ichhapur. People have to use the boat for movement. The temples and ghats in Maheshwar, Mandleshwar, Sanawad and Kasravad have also been completely submerged. The administration has issued a high alert in the area.

Precautionary people are being removed from the low lying areas of Narmada and they are being shifted to safe places. The ancient Kalabhairava temple at Mandleshwar is completely submerged. Only the flag of the temple is visible. This is where the water of Narmada has reached the stairs of the Ram temple, thirty feet away from the river Narmada. The ground floor of the ancient Gupteshwar Mahadev Temple is also completely submerged in water.
