Madhya Pradesh: Nine Shahdol cops test Covid +ve

BHOPAL: After two senior officials, nine cops who were deployed in the offices of these senior officials also tested Covid-19 positive in Shahdol district. Following this the health department officials organised a camp at police lines in Shahdol and took 75 samples on Sunday.


On Wednesday, a senior police officer had tested positive, followed by another on Friday,.

After these two, eight police personnel tested positive on Saturday morning while positive test report of one more came in the evening. After finding so many policeman positive for Covid-19, health officials organised a camp in police lines and screening people and took samples of the suspects.

“A total of 75 samples were taken in the camp,” nodal officer for Covid-19 in district, Dr Anshuman Sonare said. Samples of SP Shahdol, Satyendra Shukla were also taken but he tested negative.
