Madhya Pradesh: Woman kills husband with help of paramour, friends in Ujjain

INDORE: A woman killed her husband with the help of her paramour and his friends in Aksoda village of Ujjain district on Saturday and projected it as handiwork of a group of dacoits.

Her story fell and truth about the murder came out during sustained interrogation.

Tikam Singh Thakur, 40, was found dead in his house in the morning with multiple injury marks on his body, additional SP Rupesh Dwivedi said.

His wife, Rachna, 25, alleged that the attackers made away with Rs 1 lakh and a motorcycle from their house, he said.

Thakur lived with his wife and two kids.

Forensic expert Preeti Gaikwad told TOI that Rachna claimed that the attack took place at around 4.30am. But when the police reached the scene, rigor mortis had already set in, indicating that the time of death was around 6-7 hours before she claimed that the incident took place.

The victim had sustained fractures on both his hands and a fatal head injury, she said.

During investigation, it came to fore that Rachna was having an affair with one Ratan Singh of the same village. Singh was rounded up and interrogated, Dwivedi said.

The duo confessed to killing Thakur with the help of their friends Virendra Singh and Ishwar.

Police have arrested all the four accused and booked them for murder.
