Maharashtra Exit Poll results 2019: BJP-Shiv Sena alliance likely to win 230 seats in Maharashtra, Cong-NCP 48

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is set to make a smooth return in the state, suggest Maharashtra exit poll results 2019. Voting for the 288 Assembly constituencies in rain-soaked Maharashtra concluded at 6 pm today.

According to Times Now exit poll, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena alliance will easily recapture power for a second successive term.

Maharashtra exit poll 2019 results suggest that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance could win 230 out of 288 seats.

Despite hectic campaigning, the opposition Congress-Nationalist Congress Party combine could manage to register a victory in just 48 constituencies.

The election results will be announced on October 24.

Maharashtra has a total of 289 Assembly constituencies, including 36 in Mumbai. However, voting took place for 288 seats as one seat belongs to a nominated member.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had kick-started the poll campaign for the October 21 Maharashtra Assembly Elections from a village in Amravati. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sunil Panjabrao Deshmukh, pitted against NCP’s Sulbha Khodke, is likely to retain the Amravati Vidhan Sabha constituency.
