Maharashtra: MSEDCL to resolve complaints through video conferencing

PUNE: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has decided to hold video conferencing in each zone to resolve people's complaints in view of the closure of its customer of care centres during the lockdown period .


Issues such as power supply , electricity bills, repairs of power lines, etc will be resolved in this conference.

Besides, demands related to power will also be taken into consideration, an MSEDCL release said.

"The regional director of Pune zone Ankush Nale will chair the conference and will have interactions with industrialists in Pune, Solapur, Satara , Sangli and Kolhapur. We are yet to finalise the date of the meeting," said public relation officer Nishikant Raut of Pune Zone.

Usually the MSEDCL before the monsoon take stock of the situation of power supply in the region, said Raut. "But this time visit to outside Pune power stations is not possible due to the lockdown," he added.

Nale had conducted similar video conference within the department. He had interacted with engineers, administrative officials and staffers working on the ground. "Besides, he had interacted with private contractors who are involved in reading noting and other works and taken stock of the situation," said Raut.
