Man kidnapped in broad daylight from Karnataka bus stand

 One person was abducted by an armed gang of four in broad daylight on Saturday from a busy bus stand in Raichur district of Karnataka.  The day after the incident, four people were arrested from Bijapur and the person was rescued.  However, the motive behind the crime is not known.

 According to CCTV visuals collected from near the Lingusugur bus stand, the man was dragged inside a car by two people who had come to him and were talking to him.



 “From CCTV footage obtained from a textile shop, we were able to identify that the hijackers were traveling in a Maharashtra-registered modified white car with a black roof.  Two accused stayed inside the car while the remaining two reached the person standing on the sidewalk. "



 Police said the accused were arrested after four teams were formed for a search operation in neighboring districts led by officers of Lingasugur police station.
