Abohar: A man, said to be belonging to AAP, allegedly attacked the house of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunil Jakhar in Abohar on Thursday night.

Police nabbed Ramesh Soni from outside Jakhar’s house in South Avenue, near DAV College, on Thursday night, following a complaint by the caretaker of the Congress leader’s house.

The caretaker, Shyam Narayan Pandey, alleged that the accused first started pelting stones at the house and then threw a bottle full of petrol at it.

He said the bottle fell near the main door.

Sensing trouble, Pandey phoned the police and a team rushed to the spot and arrested Ramesh, who was drunk.
