Man shoots cousin in Etah over money

AGRA: A man shot his 35-year-old cousin over money dispute in Etah district on Tuesday night.


The incident took place in Nagla Achal village under Jasrathpur police jurisdiction. The victim, Ranjeet, was allegedly shot by his cousin Chandu with a country-made pistol.

Speaking to TOI, Jasrathpur’s station house officer M D Tiwari said, “The two cousins were inebriated and engaged in a heated argument over money on Tuesday night.

One of the cousins shot the other one and injured him. The accused (Chandu) is absconding and we have not received any complaint from the victim’s family.”
