Man sodomised by his roommate in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar
NEW DELHI: A Nepalese man has alleged that he was sodomised by his roommate in northwest Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar. The survivor alleged that his roommate was drunk and assaulted him.
Police officers said that the complaint about the incident was received at Mukherjee Nagar police station on Wednesday, following which the survivor’s statement was taken.
Later on, a case was registered.
Initial probe suggests that the survivor had come to Delhi two months ago in search of work. He had recently started working as a cook and was staying in a shared room.
At the same time, the accused, Gaurav, also started living in the room. As per the survivor, on Tuesday night, the accused came to the room in a drunken state. Thereafter, Gaurav allegedly assaulted him and told him to stay quiet about the incident.
The next day, when the accused left for work, the survivor approached the police and was taken in for a medical examination. Cops are questioning the accused to probe if he was involved in other such incidents.
