Mary Kom, P Gopichand and Vishwanathan Anand in Ahmedabad on Sunday

Six time world champion boxer Mary Kom , chief national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand and chess grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand would be present at the inauguration of Sanskardham Sports Academy on the outskirts of Ahmedabad on Sunday.

“Minister of State, Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju along with CM Vijay Rupani, UP governor Anandiben Patel and Minister of State, Co-Operation, Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Ishwarsinh Patel would be guests of honour at the event that would be held at the football ground at our Sanskardham Campus on Ambli-Bopal Road,” said a source from the educational institute.

The event would also mark the inauguration of Khel Mahakumbh at around 9.30 am on Sunday, September 8 and felicitation of sportspersons. “Entry at the high profile event would be through invite only and from gate number 1 at the venue,” the source added.
