Gunning for his first UEFA Champions League title as the manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola will expect his side to make the most of the home advantage when the Premier League table-toppers welcome Neymar-starrer Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on Thursday. Last year's runners-up PSG are eager to bounce back after suffering a 2-1 defeat at home in the ongoing UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Man City will host Mauricio Pochettino's PSG in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals at the famous Etihad Stadium behind closed doors tonight. A fruitful result at home can pave the way for the Citizens to become the first finalist of this season's Champions League. While Chelsea are set to host Real Madrid in an evenly balanced encounter at Stamford Bridge, Guardiola's City have the edge over PSG following their massive away win in the 1st leg.

What happened in the 1st leg?

PSG star defender Marquinhos opened the scoring for the hosts before the visitors turned things around in the 2nd half of the high-voltage clash contested at the Parc des Princes arena last week. Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez stunned PSG in their backyard as Man City registered a remarkable 2-1 win over the Kylian Mbappe-side. Thus, PSG are tasked to overturn a 2-1 deficit in City's den tonight.

Match prediction: Man City 2 - PSG 2

Guardiola's men will enter the 2nd leg with their tails up as it will take an awful lot for PSG to upstage the Premier League giants at the Etihad. However, PSG are tipped to fight tooth and nail in City’s backyard. According to the latest development, Mbappe is doubtful for PSG's semi-final meeting against Man City.

Mbappe, who was silenced at home by City, had scored a hat-trick in PSG's 4-1 away win against Barcelona earlier in the knockout round. The hosts have not registered a single defeat in their all previous four European meetings. City were able to battle past PSG when the Logue 1 giants last visited Etihad in 2016
